A massive fire broke out at a COVID designated hospital in Ahmedabad leaving eight people dead. PM Narendra Modi is extremely saddened by the news and offers Rs 2 Lakh to the ins of the people who lost life in the tragedy.
Eight people including 5 men and three women who were undergoing treatment in the ICU ward of Shrey Hospital have lost life due to the fire break out.
“Eight coronavirus patients admitted in the ICU ward of Shrey Hospital have died due to the fire, which has been doused,” Ahmedabad fire official said.
The fire brooke out at nearly 3:30 am. A healthcare worked also got injured during the tragedy.
Nearly 40 people from Shrey Hospital have been rescued and shifted to Civic Hospital.

People who have lost their loves or have been injured will be given this amount.
Ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh each from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of those who have lost their lives due to the hospital fire in Ahmedabad. Rs. 50,000 each would be given to those injured due to the hospital fire.
