Offensive analyst of Cincinnati Bengals and former coach of Minessota Vikings found dead on his couch by the local sheriff at his Minnesota apartment.

Initially, police found some suspicious around his death as they appeared to have bruising or blood pooling around his eyes.

The NFL team Cincinnati Bengals announced the death of their coach in a statement on Nov. 1.

Police chief Wayne Wegner Jr. said, “Last month in November Mendota Heights Police Department was performing a welfare check on Zimmer, who lived in Minnesota”.

Once police entered Zimmer’s home, he had already died.

Police officers wrote appeared to have bruising or blood pooling around his eye as per the report in Pioneer Press. They didn’t find any foul play.

He was an assistant defensive backs coach and offensive analyst for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Assistant lineback coach for the Kansas City Chiefs and New Orleans Saints. Lineback coach and co-defensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings.

He was the son of former Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer.

He and his father both terminated last year according to ESPN.
