Delhi Capitals will be playing without their crucial player Rishabh Pant as he is still under recovery from the injuries he suffered from a car accident on 2023 new year’s eve.
Delhi Capitals recently stated that there’s no chance that they would ever find a potential replacement for Rishabh Pant. However, the team management has finally assigned Abhishek Porel as their new wicketkeeper for IPL 2023. The team is still making decisions as they are preparing Manish Pandey and Sarfaraz Khan for wicketkeeping as well.
Abhishek Porel: New Wicketkeeper for Delhi Capitals
Abhishek Porel, the new wicketkeeper assigned by Delhi Capitals was part of the training court alongside three other substitute wicketkeepers including Sheldon Jackson, Vivek Singh, and Luvinth Sisodia. The team has replaced Risabh Pant with a former Indian U19 World Cup player that also lifted the title for the same last year.

He has already begun practicing in the fields for Delhi Capitals. Abhishek Porel has uncertainly got the beginner’s luck as he will get a chance to play alongside the greatest players from the world including David Warner (Delhi Capitals Captain).
A video surfaced on the internet soon after Delhi Capitals announced him as a replacement for Risabh Pant. He can be seen practicing and taking lessons from former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly.
