Late Actor Sushant Singh Rajput starrer Chichore won the award in the category of Best Hindi Film. The second last movie of Sushant was a comedy-drama based on the story of a young boy who commits suicide after being failed.

The movie was made to the club of Rs 200 crore and was produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Nitesh Tiwari.

Best Actress

Kangana Ranaut won the award of Best Actress for her super hit movies- Manikarnika and Panga. Her recent movies are Thailavi, Dhaakad, and Tejas for which is receiving huge appreciation. She won four National Film Awards.

She has won twice in the category of Best Actress for her movie Queen and Tanu Weds Manu. Kangana won her first National award in the category of best supporting actress for the movie Fashion.

Manoj Vajpayee for his brilliant acting in Bhonsle got the National Film Award of Best Actor. The movie was about a retired police officer in Mumbai. Actor Dhanush also won the award in the same category for his movie Asuran.

The 2019 Malayalam movie Jallikattu got this award. The movie is about the famous animal sport of the South. The amazing effects and story of Jallikatu took the movie to the Oscars as the official entry of India. However, it failed to get a place in nominations and was out of the race.

A story on manual scavengers of India, Kastoori has won in the Best Children Film category. The story is about a 14-year manual scavenger who tries to get rid of the foul smell of dead bodies from his clothes.
