Skoda Kodiaq: After the successful launch of the Kylaq, Skoda is now preparing to launch the second-generation Kodiaq in India. The new-generation Kodiaq made its global debut three months ago and was recently showcased at the India Mobility Global Expo 2025 last month. It is now confirmed that the Czech carmaker will bring the new Kodiaq to India in April this year.
2025 Skoda Kodiaq: Expected interior and features
The interior of the India-spec Skoda Kodiaq has not been fully unveiled yet, but it is expected to be quite similar to the European model, which has been optimised for right-hand drive. Key features of the new Kodiaq include a 13-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, LED matrix headlamps, a fully digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, Level 2 ADAS, ventilated and heated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, multi-color ambient lighting, a premium sound system, and a powered tailgate.
In terms of safety, the Kodiaq will get nine airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, 360-degree camera, and front and rear parking sensors. It will also be equipped with an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) for better safety. Notably, the new Kodiaq earned a 5-star safety rating from Euro NCAP in July last year.
Skoda Kodiaq: Expected Powertrain
While globally the Kodiaq is available with multiple powertrain options, in India it is likely to be offered with a 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine that belts out 187 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. This mill will be paired to a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox as standard.
Skoda Kodiaq: Variant Details
At the Auto Expo 2025, L&K (Laurin & Klement) was spotted with some significant design changes for the exterior and interior that included a number of good features. Coming to the Sportline variant, this trim is likely to get an aggressive styling language for a different vibe and super sporty look.
The 2025 Kodiaq Sportline is expected to get black-out elements around the grille, ORVMs, D-pillars and a different set of alloy wheels. The interior of this variant is likely to match the exterior with black-out highlights and dark upholstery. Talking about the L&K trims, it will be given a premium look with dual-tone alloy wheels and more.
How much will it cost
The exact price of this SUV will be revealed at the time of launch. But it is expected that the Skoda Kodiaq can be launched at an ex-showroom price of around Rs 40 lakh. The special thing is that this SUV was showcased by the company at the Auto Expo held in January 2025.
