2025 Honda SP160 Launched in India, Starting Price ₹ 1.21 Lakh

Honda India has launched the updated model of SP160. The company has made changes in the engine of the sporty bike according to OBD2B emission norms. The bike now comes with some cosmetic changes and features like Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, digital instrument cluster and dual disc brakes have been provided in it. The bike will also run on E-20 petrol.

Honda SP160 has been introduced with new graphics. Apart from this, no changes have been made to its muscular design. The updated bike is available in four color options. These include Radiant Red Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, Pearl Deep Ground Gray and Athletic Blue Metallic colors.

The bike gets a new LED headlamp at the front to give it a better look and a muscular fuel tank with a sporty shroud. Other highlights include an aerodynamic undercowl and a bold muffler with chrome cover, which enhance its sporty look. The rear also gets an LED taillight.

The bike has a new 4.2-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. This system is compatible with the Honda RoadSync app, which offers features like turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts and music playback. The bike also has a USB Type-C charging port.

The company has given a 162.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine in the bike. This engine also comes in Unicorn and Xblade, but the engine of SP160 has been tuned to make it more powerful and torquey than both the bikes. It generates 13.5hp of power and 14.6Nm of torque at 7500 rpm. This engine is OBD2B compliant, meaning the bike will also run on E20 petrol. For transmission, the engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

There has been no change in the rest of the bike. For comfortable riding, it has telescopic forks in the front and monoshock in the rear. The braking setup includes a 276mm front disc brake and a 220mm rear disc brake in the double disc variant, while the single disc variant has a 130mm rear drum brake.

The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends with an 80-section front and 130-section rear tyre setup. It has a wheelbase of 1,347mm, ground clearance of 177mm, seat height of 79mm and fuel tank capacity of 12 litres.

The bike is available in two variants. Its single disc brake variant is priced at Rs 1,21,951 lakh and the dual disc brake variant is priced at Rs 1,27,956 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom. The updated motorcycle is now available for sale at Honda dealerships across the country. In the 160CC segment, this bike will compete with Bajaj’s Yamaha FZ, Bajaj Pulsar P150, Suzuki Gixxer and TVS Apache RTR160 2V.
