2025 Ather 450: Ather Energy is preparing to launch a new electric scooter tomorrow i.e. on January 4. Experts believe that it will be an updated version of the 450X. Because, this is the most popular scooter of the brand, which has been updated for a long time.
Recently, Ather CEO and co-founder Tarun Mehta has hinted at the entry of the updated model of the scooter on social media. The brand also released a promotional video last week, in which the scooter was shown running on the race track and compared it with the bike. Through this, it has also been indicated that the company’s new scooter has also been upgraded in terms of performance.

Ather CEO and co-founder Tarun Mehta recently informed about the arrival of the updated model of the scooter on social media and hinted about the update. The brand also released a promotional video a week ago, which showed one of its scooters competing with two ICE vehicles including a 160cc motorcycle and a 125cc scooter on a race track. Both these posts indicate that the 450X has performed better.
Top speed may increase
Talking about the performance of the Ather 450X, its top speed can increase to 100 km/h, which is equal to the 450 Apex. The top speed of the current version of the 450X is 90 km/h. We are also expecting an increase in its actual battery range, which can increase from the current 90KM (2.9kWh) and 110KM (3.7kWh) to 110KM (3.7kWh). Tarun Mehta’s post also includes the word ‘track-on’, which could be an indication that the scooter could get an upgraded version of its existing traction control system called Skid Control.
Atherstack 6 software will be included
Along with the inclusion of its new Atherstack 6 software, several software updates should also be part of the package. The price will also increase with the update. From January 2025, the price of all Ather scooters will increase by about Rs 5,000. As of now, the price of Ather 450X starts at Rs 1.40 lakh (2.9kWh without Pro Pack) and Rs 1.75 lakh (3.7kWh with Pro Pack). In India, it competes with models like Ola Electric, Bajaj Chetak, and TVS iQube.

Ather’s Active Regenerative Braking feature can also be seen in the new Ather 450S scooter. Along with Ather 450 Apex,the Magic Twist feature is now being given in Ather Rizta as well, due to which this feature can be seen in the new and updated variants as well. Due to these new upgrades made in the scooters, the range of scooters can be seen increasing. Talking about the price, the price of both the scooters can increase by Rs 3000-5000.
