Scalable and Flexible data storage is becoming a necessity for most developers for storing small and large amounts of content, including, blobs of text, videos, images, app developers require a solution for the retrieval of user-created content, backups, logs and so on.
Block storage function is highly scalable and available SSD-based providing that enables developers to simply attract extra disk space to the cloud servers of Digitalocean Droplets, the company said in a statement.
Block storage is an alternative product to Digital Ocean Droplets, which offers local storage and computing power, by making them more flexible and expandable.
By attaching Block storage via the API or control panel to DigitalOcean Droplets, developers can attain benefits like reliability, flexibility as well as security.
Customers have created numbers of Block storage volumes in New york, San Francisco, and regions of Frankfurt to take backups, scale databases, store media items and much more.
